THRIVE: What on Earth will it take?

“Those who have the privilege to know have the duty to act.”
“Those who have the privilege to know have the duty to act.”

The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.. In honour of life’s irrepressible urge to thrive and in memory of all those who have been persecuted or killed for their commitment to truth and justice, we gracefully invoke their courage as we come together to stand up for our lives. – Foster & Kimberly Gamble ThriveMovement.com

I just finished watching for the first time the documentary called “Thrive” and since this documentary confirms a lot of the core problems uncovered by my own independent research into global threats, I decided to postpone my sleep time by another few minutes just so I can post this at 4:30AM 🙂

THRIVE is an unconventional documentary that lifts the veil on what’s really going on in our world by following the money upstream — uncovering the global consolidation of power in nearly every aspect of our lives. Weaving together breakthroughs in science, consciousness and activism, THRIVE offers real solutions, empowering us with unprecedented and bold strategies for reclaiming our lives and our future… If each of us uses our unique gifts, and we collaborate with others, we can create the world we want to live in. We already have what it takes to thrive. Now is the time! (ref)

We have the power to change our world for the better but do we want to? Do we look beyond our personal interests to find solutions which will fit us, humanity and the Earth? Such solutions are not rocket-science, quite the contrary. And the main solution is actually very simple: instead of continuing to use our exiting self-destructive model of profit-before-people, we need to switch to an ethical, decentralised and “evil-proof” model based on Trinity-Balance: we should pursue only the individual needs which also take into consideration the individual’s interconnectivity with the whole of humanity, and the protection (or at the very least not destruction) of our home: the Earth. And how could we kick-start this simple solution? A: by being ethical in everything we do, in the way we think, speak, act, live, work, behave. As I described in my post Ethical Human Education, Wisdom & Evolution, in my view, an ethical action must respect two simple rules:

1. Respect human Life and act to protect Life, or act in a way which does not harm Life.

2. Take positive action which is in favour of the individual, but only if:

  • 2A: it doesn’t violate the 1st rule,
  • 2B: it doesn’t hurt or disfavour other individuals,
  • 2C: it doesn’t damage the environment which the individual and his/her peers belong to. (The environment in our case is: room-building-estate-city-county-country-continent-Planet Earth and the impact must be considered at our maximum reach which now is global level, not just personal and local.)

Positive change is literally this simple..But if positivity is not everyone’s “cup of tea” as the Irish say, I’m sure happiness is. And while it may seem irrational or counter-intuitive, I strongly believe that long-term happiness has a very strong foundation in ethics:
